Current Laws
In these rules, unless the subject matter or context is objectionable:-
- Act means the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976 as amended by Punjab Ordinance No. XXXIII of 1985 and as may be amended in future.
- “Bid” means a tender, or offer, in response to an invitation, by a person, consultant, firm, company or organization expressing its willingness to perform a specified work at a price.
“Bidder” means the person who submits the bid;
- Board means the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bahawalpur.
- “Competitive Bidding” means a procedure leading to the award of a contract whereby all interested persons, firms, companies or organizations may bid for the contract.
- Chairman means Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bahawalpur.
- “Contractor” means a person, consultant, firm, company or organization that undertakes to supply goods, services or works
- “Agreement” means an agreement, executed on stamp paper of fair value, enforced by law;
Controller means the Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur. - “Corrupt and fraudulent practices” include offering, giving, receiving or soliciting anything of value to influence the actions of a government official or supplier or contractor in the procurement process or to the detriment of procuring agencies. could or misrepresentation of facts to influence the procurement process or to enforce a contract, collude among bidders (before or after bid submission) to set bid prices at artificial, non-competitive levels; And procuring agencies are designed to deprive them of it. the benefits of free and open competition and the solicitation or solicitation of anything of value by any Government official in the course of his duties;
- “Emergency” means natural calamities, calamities, accidents, war and operational emergencies such as the conduct of examinations, the completion of time- and condition-bound assignments and the preparation of examination results which may give rise to extraordinary circumstances which may limit or Avoidance requires quick and immediate action. Causing damage to students/candidate/person, property or environment or for the benefit of the organization.
“lowest evaluated bid” means, –
- Time bound offer by any person, firm, consultant and company at reduced price and other terms.
- A bid that conforms to the evaluation criteria and other conditions specified in the bid document;
estimating the lowest price;
- “Ordinance” means the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Ordinance, 1985 (No. XXXIII of 1985);
- Procuring Agency means the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bahawalpur.
- Purchase Committee means the committee empowered to purchase goods, works or services etc.
